Eagles V. Owls

After a great victory from the Lady Eagles, the boys were playing up next against the Covington Owls. The audience for both schools were pumped up and excited to see their boys play! The boys had a rough start in the beginning of the game. The Owls started gaining a huge lead against the Morgan Eagles, as well as getting many turnovers. The Morgan Eagles still tried their best and played great to the very end of the quarter. The final score for the first quarter was 8-15 with the Covington Owls in the lead. The second quarter is when the Eagles started to step up and play basketball! During the quarter, the Eagles caught up with the Owls on the scoreboard almost tying it up. The quarter went on with both teams scoring each shot they made and with the Eagles trying to pass the Owls on the board. The second quarter final score was 28-30 with the Covington Owls still in the lead but only winning by 2 points. The third quarter was an intense quarter for both the teams and audience, because the Morgan Eagles ended up passing the Covington Owls and getting a decent lead against them. The Morgan Eagles did their best to stay in the lead, by playing their best and giving everything they got. Every player gave it their all and with most of the Eagles in the first group scoring some points on the board. This was a great quarter for the Morgan Eagles, the final score was 52-43 with the Eagles in the lead. The final quarter was a chaotic part of the game with the Morgan Eagles gaining a huge amazing lead against the Covington Owls, with the Covington coach getting a technical foul on him, and with the audiences yelling at one another across the court. The environment changed on the court with all of the madness that was going on, but the Eagles weren't going to let that stop them from having a great game. They played through it out and during half the final quarter the Eagles coach Jeff Harrison took out the first team and put in the second team. The second held up the points and played their best to the end and ended the game with a half-court shot from Javier Guajardo(#21). The final score of the game 79-59 with the Eagles winning the game!
