2018 Election

Elections are just around the corner! Unfortunately, registration has already ended in Texas, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t be involved. Here are some of the major state positions and who is running, which we will be voting for on November 6, 2018.

U.S. Senate Seat

  • Beto O’Rourke (Democrat)

  • Ted Cruz (Republican)

U.S. Representative (Bosque County District)

  • Julie Oliver (Democrat)

  • Roger Williams (Republican)

  • Desarae Lindsey (Libertarian)

  • Martin Luecke (Independent)

Governor of Texas

  • Lupe Valdez (Democrat)

  • Greg Abbott (Republican)

Lieutenant Governor

  • Mike Collier (Democrat)

  • Dan Patrick (Republican)

  • Kerry Mckennon (Libertarian)

Attorney General

  • Justin Nelson (Democrat)

  • Ken Paxton (Republican)

  • Ray Harris (Libertarian)

*These are only a few positions that will be voted for during the elections*

Voting is an important way to be an involved citizen and effects the outcome of our state. Even if you didn’t get the chance to register, you can still give support to the nominees you would’ve liked to vote for. Early voting starts on October 22, 2018 and last day to apply for ballot by mail is October 26, 2018, so put those dates in your calendar and remember that every vote counts!
