Meet Mrs. Watkins
Hi, my name is Rebecca Watkins and I am so excited to be working with my new students this year! I will be teaching 1st grade this year at Morgan ISD. I am originally from East Texas but have recently moved to Cleburne, Texas. I am newly married to my husband who is a Cleburne Fire Fighter. Outside of teaching, I am either hanging out with my friends or family!
I graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing. I am currently in an alternative teaching program and will be certified to teach early childhood through 6th grade. This year I plan to do my best to help my students succeed in every way possible. I am looking forward to working with a school who cares about its students and is involved in the community. I am excited to see my students succeed and grow over this next school year!
Meet Mr. Taskindoust
My name is Mahyar Taskindoust and I'll be teaching fourth grade at Morgan ISD. I'm very excited to be involved with a school district that has such an involved role with the community and I hope that I can help Morgan and it's community's children in the best way I can. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Marketing and am certified to teach Early Childhood-Sixth Grade Education. I'm a first-generation American, the son of immigrant parents who worked hard to start their own wholesale business and the other to become a licensed school psychologist. In my free time I enjoy playing games both video games and tabletop board games as well as reading books that range from philosophy to fantasy/science fiction. I hope to use my knowledge in these hobbies to help the students of Morgan ISD enjoy their education experience.
Meet Mrs. Mayra Jones
My name is Mayra Jones. I am a wife and mother to three young boys. I grew up in the small town of Walnut Springs, with four younger brothers. I am a small-town girl who enjoys sports, the outdoors, fishing, and hanging out with my family.
I graduated from Tarleton with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2014. I then started working as an investigator for CPS. I decided to go back to school to spend more time with my kids. I am certified in ELAR/SS 4-8 and will be teaching Language Arts and Reading grades 6-8 and Social Studies grades 6-7 at Morgan ISD.
I wish us all the best in this upcoming school year. As a teacher, I plan on doing the best I can to teach/help my students the best way possible. I will be in solidarity with my parents as we proceed with the unknown while trying to maintain our kids in a learning environment. This year will be far from perfect, but we can work together to make it better.
Meet Miss Knight
Hi everyone, my name is Arin Knight and I am looking forward to a great first year with my students! I will be teaching 6th-8th grade Math along with 6th grade Science. I will also be a part of the coaching staff. Your student’s success means a lot to me inside and outside of the classroom. I expect each of my students to be ready and excited to learn something new each day. If you ever have any concerns or questions do not hesitate to call or email me.
Now a little about myself: I am from a small town called Breckenridge, Texas and graduated from Tarleton State University. I have played all types of sports since I was five years old. I was on the women’s golf team my first two years at Tarleton State University. My fiancé and I live in Hico, Texas and will be getting married in November. When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family golfing or outdoors with my fiancé and our two dogs. I am looking forward to a great and successful year!
Meet Miss Ruhmann
My name is Madison Ruhmann and I am from Uvalde, Texas. I graduated from Tarleton State University in December of 2019 and my degree is in General Studies with a concentration in Education and Fine Arts. I am currently in an alternative teaching program and will be certified to teach kindergarten-12th grade special educational and kindergarten-6th grade general education.
This coming school year I will be teaching 2nd grade for Morgan ISD. I chose Morgan because I fell in love with this area of Texas while attending Tarleton State University and have family in the area! I grew up going to a small school and I was looking for a small school environment now as a teacher. I grew up in Uvalde with my mom, dad, brother and dogs but now live in Meridian with my grandparents on their farm.
When I’m not teaching I can be found gardening or crafting, but I also love traveling to see my friends and family. I am most excited about getting to know each of my new students and watching their minds grow! Even with the uncertainties that COVID-19 has brought us I know we will have a fun school year!
Meet Mrs. Seay
My name is Kallie Seay. I am the new Third Grade Teacher here at Morgan ISD. I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2012 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies. I have taught third grade for five years and love this age group. I am looking forward to getting to know all the wonderful students who will soon enter my classroom. We are going to have a great year together.
My husband and I have both lived in Morgan our entire lives and are looking forward to raising our two girls, Riley and Reagan, in this
community. I have always loved the family feel that this community shows toward each other.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy fishing, swimming, checking cows, and reading stories together. My family is one of the most important things to me. As a teacher, I always refer to my students as my kids. Your kids will very soon become a part of my family and will be cared for in my classroom just like I care for my own kids.
