Principal's News & Notes

Change is something that happens and can range between either being well received or completely denied. Change is not simple nor is it as difficult as we perceive it to be. Change can be chaotic or could be smooth and easy. Change can be something needed or can be something done out of desperation. Change can be scary or inviting. In our lives we deal with change in so many ways. Not just with the ones I have stated here in this article, but truly in so many different ways.

My dad always told me that we never change who we are; we are always us, but we adjust (or change) to life's experiences. Going from being a nonparent to a parent is a change. Going from being a parent of a sweet loving toddler to a headache creating teenager is a change. Going from living at home with your parents to living alone is a change. In all those changes though, the one thing that has remained constant is who we are within ourselves.

The motivation of what makes our school great has been a changing agent to our culture here at Morgan. We have created an identity of success and belief that we are a product of the hard work we have put into our studies and extracurricular. The thing that has remained a constant is the giving, supportive, and loving heart of this community. In my time here, this town has put on several benefits to help those in need. Morgan is a community of hard working families who care about their kids, this community, and this school.

I am proud to call myself an Eagle. I am proud to say I work at Morgan ISD. I am proud to be a part of something special. In my eight years here several of my physical features have changed. The hair on my head has begun to grey. The wrinkles on my face have become more defined. But my passion for wanting to be here remains the same. Thank you for everything you have done to make it this place great.

Oh, and for the first student who reads this and tells me about my notes, they will receive the drink of their choice, as well as, a snack of choice.
