Welcome Tammy Howe!

Posted Date: 08/29/2021

Hello, my name is Tammy Howe. I will be your son/daughter’s 3rd-5th grade Math teacher. I am looking forward to getting to know each of your students better. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education. I have previously coached and taught at the middle school level.

I am from Orlando, Florida. I graduated from Lyman High School, then after I did a semester at Seminole Community College, I then went to Brevard College in North Carolina to play soccer. We went to Nationals where we came up short and received 2nd place. Great experience!

After college I decided to go into the military. I joined the United States Navy. I started onboard USS AO 179 Merrimack. It was an oiler ship that refueled ships out to see. After our 5 month deployment the ship was decommissioned, so I had new orders which led me to the USS CVN 69 Dwight D. Eisenhower.  I did 4 years in the Navy and my rank when I came out was Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Petty Officer. Being in the military taught me a lot. Great and fun experience.

I have 2 kids and a new daughter-in-law and 2 dogs.  My son who is now married will be having a baby come February. My daughter is a senior in high school and plays soccer.

In my spare time I just love to relax and hang out with my family. If I had a special place to go it would be the beach. I love to sit out and listen to the waves hit the water. Refreshing!

Quote that I always like to say: You can do this! You’ve got to stay positive and do your best.
