Goal

Morgan ISD follows the Texas Education Agency’s goal for Gifted and Talented programs:
Students in GT services will develop self-directed learning, critical thinking, research, and communication skills through creative and innovative products that go beyond the expectations of their peers.

Purpose

The purpose of the MISD GT Program is to provide advanced learners with instruction that is both accelerated and more challenging in depth. Students may engage in enrichment opportunities such as the Texas Performance Standards Project or other advanced research projects to meet the state goal for gifted education.
