Due to widespread flu and other illness among students and staff, Morgan ISD will be closed on Friday, January 23rd and Monday January 26th. We will reopen according to our regular schedule on Tuesday, January 27th. Over the past three days, student and staff absences have increased with daily attendance rates district wide in the 70% range. We consider the health and welfare of our students and staff of the utmost importance and do not make this decision lightly.

All Junior High and Varsity athletic games will be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date. Our campus will also be closed for after school (ACE Program) and all youth athletic activities Thursday, January 22nd through Monday, January 26th with all district activities and operations resuming on Tuesday, January 27th.

The district encourages families to use this time for students and staff to recover and get well so that we can return much healthier next week. District staff will use this time to continue deep cleaning and sanitization of school buses and buildings, including classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, locker rooms and other parts of campuses.
